Funny business with the Just for Laughs Road Show

Michael Kosta hosts an evening of comedy featuring stand-up favourites Yannis Pappas, K. Trevor Wilson and Sabrina Jalees at River Run Centre

GUELPH, ON March 16, 2017 – Expect a healthy dose of comic relief when the 2017 Just for Laughs Road Show rolls into Guelph on Thursday, March 30, at 8 p.m. The Main Stage performance featuring comedians Michael Kosta, Yannis Pappas, K. Trevor Wilson and Sabrina Jalees is presented as part of the GuelphToday.com Comedy Series.

The Just for Laughs Road Show offers an evening of laugh-a-minute entertainment featuring outstanding stand-up comedians from the world-renowned Montreal Just for Laughs festival, which welcomes two million visitors each summer. In its 14th year touring Ontario, the Just for Laughs Road Show offers the perfect way to sample some of the festival’s funniest stand-up acts.

The evening’s host, Michael Kosta, is well-known to comedy fans for his performances on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Conan and at Just for Laughs in Montreal. He has also starred in his own comedy special, Comedy Central Presents: Michael Kosta, and served as the know-it-all host of the E! program The Soup Investigates.

A versatile comedic performer, Yannis Pappas has toured the world as a stand-up, including appearances at the New York Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs in Montreal. Pappas is host of the AOL original series 2 Point Lead and has hosted his own his half-hour Comedy Central special.

K. Trevor Wilson is the self-proclaimed “Man Mountain of Comedy.” An award-winning comedian and actor with over 20 years experience, Wilson has made five appearances at Just for Laughs in Montreal. His credits include appearing as Squirrelly Dan on Crave TV’s Letterkenny, on the Comedy Central program Roast Battle and opening for comedians including Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman and Louis CK.

Sabrina Jalees is a comedian, actor, keynote speaker and writer based in Los Angeles. While Canadians saw her grow up on Much Music’s Video On Trial and YTV’s In Real Life, Jalees has gone on to appear on the television programs Flashpoint and Transparent. She has also written for two NBC comedy series, Crowded and Powerless.

Tickets to see the Just for Laughs Road Show cost $52 for adults and $50 for seniors and students. $20 uGO tickets are available to university and college students with valid ID. $5 eyeGO tickets are available to high school students with valid ID.
