2018 MusicWorks|StageWorks Call for Applications
Guelph youth are invited to showcase their talents and skills in the sixth installment of MusicWorks|StageWorks, River Run Centre’s hands-on performing arts mentorship program.
The program, supported by TD Bank Group, is open to all youth, ages 13 to 19, who are interested in gaining new skills and taking part in a public performance.
If you’re an aspiring performer, or know of someone who is ready for a real life experience in production, concept development and stage presence, this is a unique learning opportunity you don’t want to miss!
Applications will be accepted online beginning Monday January 29, 2018 until Monday February 26, 2018. Anyone with questions about the program or application process should contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Under the guidance of River Run’s technical, programming and marketing staff and with support from the Guelph Youth Council, participants will learn about the various aspects of building a successful show such as staging, flow, self-promotion, transitions and professionalism.
The program is inclusive of music, theatre, spoken word, dance, short film and comedy. (All content in performances must be suitable for a family-friendly audience.)
NEW for 2018 – River Run Centre is pleased to announce the very talented Nathan Coles, a Guelph musician and multi-instrumentalist with extensive experience in musical composition, microphone technique and public performance, will join our team as a mentor during dress rehearsal to enlighten and inspire student’s creative flare.
