Rental Rates & Policies – Co-operators Hall

Ticketing Policy

All tickets sold for events at River Run Centre are printed and sold exclusively by the River Run Centre Box Office. Box Office services fees are charged to the client. Final advertised ticket price must include Box Office services fees and Capital Reserve Fund. Additional handling fees may be charged to the patron depending on their method of purchase.

Staffing Policy

River Run Centre reserves the right to determine staffing needs based on:

  • Event requirements
  • Collective bargaining agreements (River Run Centre adheres to the Collective Bargaining Agreements between the City of Guelph and CUPE Locals 973 and 241, and the City of Guelph and IATSE Local 357)
  • Safety of all patrons, staff, volunteers and performers
  • Protection and stewardship of the venue and equipment

For every event, it is required that all front of house, technical and box office positions are filled with River Run Centre staff. Rental clients are required to pay for all staff and services scheduled for their event.

Venue Rental

River Run Centre will provide:

  • Use of theatre for up to 12 hours (including set up, performance and strike)
  • Comprehensive house lighting plot (not including moving lights)
  • Use of existing sound system (not including microphones)
  • Use of dressing rooms
  • Use of existing, available furniture
  • Two on-site parking permits (per theatre) for the duration of the rental period
  • Co-operators Hall includes one technician for up to 8 hours. Conditions apply.

Rental Rates

Ticketed Events – $480.00 versus 12% of net ticket sales (whichever is greater)

In calculation of rent, ‘net ticket sales’ is defined as gross sales less HST and CRF

Non-ticketed Events – $540.00

Discounted rates are available – upon proof of status – to Registered Charitable, Non-profit and Not-for-profit Organizations. Discount applies to base rental rate only

Front of House Services Rates

Ticketed Events – $22.00 per hour House Manager plus $165.00 Front of House staff

Non-ticketed Events – $27.00 per hour House Manager plus $165.00 Front of House staff

Catering Surcharge

  • $1.00 per person

Set-up Fee

  • $110.00 per room

Box Office Services Fees

  • 6.5% of gross sales (includes Credit Card and Debit Card recovery fees)
  • Consignment tickets out – $0.50 per ticket
  • Consignment tickets returned – $0.50 per ticket
  • Complimentary tickets $1.00 per ticket (first 20 per show are free of charge)

Technical Staff Rates

  • $40.00 per hour Regular Time

Capital Reserve Fund Fees

  • Tickets $10.00 or less – No CRF
  • Tickets $10.01 or more – $1.75 per ticket

Plus applicable taxes

Rates in effect September 2017 to August 2018
