Guelph Symphony Orchestra Season Opening Gala: Portrait of an Artist

Guelph Symphony Orchestra logo

Presented by Guelph Symphony Orchestra:

For the first time, we offer a curated spontaneous art+symphonic program featuring International Guest Principal Dancer Zdenek Konvalina. Mr. Konvalina, one of the most celebrated dancers of his generation, equally excels as an abstract expressionist painter. You will experience live the creation of a painting by Mr. Konvalina as the orchestra performs music that had a significant impact on his dance career. GSO Concerto Finalist violinist Leslie Ashworth performs the music of one of Mr. Konvalina’s signature ballets, the Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2.
