Iconic children’s performers Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison bring 40th anniversary farewell tour to River Run Centre Sunday, October 21

GUELPH, ON October 5, 2018 – Sing along with Sharon Hampson and Bram Morrison of the iconic Canadian children’s group Sharon, Lois and Bram when the pair bring their 40th anniversary farewell concert tour to River Run Centre on Sunday, October 21, at 2 p.m. A second show was added at 10:30 am on the same day due to popular demand. The Main Stage performance is presented as part of the Wooly Pub Family Series.

Sharon and Bram have been entertaining audiences together since 1978 as part of Sharon, Lois and Bram. Through more than 20 recordings, children’s television shows including The Elephant Show and Skinnamarink TV, as well as countless live performances, the trio has become an indelible part of childhood for millions of Canadians.

“In the world of adult music, they’d be royalty. Among the generations of children they’ve entertained, icons and legends will suffice,” the London Free Press says of Sharon, Lois and Bram.

Sharon and Bram will present a sing-along concert featuring well-loved favourites including She’ll Be Coming ‘Round the Mountain, Five Little Monkeys, One Elephant, Tingalayo and, of course, Skinnamarink. The duo has continued performing together since Lois Lillenstein of Sharon, Lois and Bram retired from live performing in 2000. Sadly, Lillenstein passed away in 2015 after a battle with cancer.

“We love singing with our audiences,” Sharon and Bram say of their live performances. “The sound of families singing together and the expressions of delight on the faces of parents and children as they share the music bring us deep satisfaction.”

During a celebrated three-decade career, Sharon, Lois and Bram won three Juno Awards for best children’s album, produced gold and platinum records and performed in every major concert hall in Canada. The trio also travelled to the U.S. for performances at Carnegie Hall, The Lincoln Center and White House.

Everyone must have a ticket, including infants and children. Tickets to see Sharon and Bram cost $32 for adults, $30 for seniors and students, and $25 for children 14 and under. $20 uGO tickets are available to university and college students with valid ID. $5 eyeGO tickets are available to high school students with valid ID.
