Tartan Terrors bring acclaimed high-energy performance to Guelph January 25

GUELPH, ON January 11, 2018 – Experience North America’s premier Celtic event when Tartan Terrors invade River Run Centre on Thursday, January 25, at 8 p.m. The Main Stage performance is presented as part of the Richardson GMP Music Series and sponsored by SmithValeriote Law Firm LLP.

Tartan Terrors are their own “Celtic Invasion,” featuring performers who mix the energy of rock ‘n’ roll with traditional Celtic folklore, dance and humour. With a musical arsenal featuring outstanding players on pipes, fiddle, drums and guitar, it’s no wonder the Tartan Terrors’ faithful audiences keep coming back for more.

“A high-energy, fun-filled and musically exciting evening,” Colorado’s Lone Tree Theatre said of Tartan Terrors.

Tartan Terrors have performed at premier international festivals and theatres on four continents during a distinguished two-decade career. Their reputation has grown across North America on the strength of their top quality performances at events including the Dublin Irish Festival in Ohio, the Newport Irish Festival in Rhode Island and on the ABC program Good Morning America.

The Burlington-based Tartan Terrors are co-directed by brother and sister Ian Wilkes Irmisch and Ellen Wilkes Irmisch. A member of the British Association of Teachers of Dancing, Ellen is a fellow in ballet, stage and highland. She has taught dance for more than 29 years. Ian has been performing since the age of five and has become internationally known for his performances across Canada, the United States and Great Britain.
