This Is That Live Farewell Tour arrives at River Run Centre January 24

GUELPH, ON January 10, 2019 – Pat Kelly and Peter Oldring don’t just report on issues that matter to Canadians, they fabricate them to hilarious effect on their satirical CBC Radio One show, This Is That. The duo will bring their improvisational antics to River Run Centre on Thursday, January 24, at 8 p.m. as part of the This Is That Live Farewell Tour. The Main Stage performance is presented as part of the GuelphToday.com Comedy Series.

After nine seasons on the air, This Is That Live hits the road for one last tour, stopping at 14 cities across Canada. The first half of the show features Kelly and Oldring performing new material and fan-favourites. During the second half, Kelly and Oldring turn writing responsibilities over to the audience and improvise stories on the spot.

“The fake-news slant is often so believable that some listeners are fooled into thinking reports are the real deal,” NOW Magazine said of Kelly and Oldring’s radio program.

An alumnus of The Second City and Just for Laughs Festival, Kelly’s career in comedy spans more than 20 years. He created award-winning television shows, digital series, branded content and podcast series. Oldring’s career includes performing comedy across the country and acting in theatre, television and film. He is the winner of Canadian Comedy Awards and a Canadian Screen Actors Award. Oldring and Kelly are excited to be focusing on their 2 new podcasts this year, This Sounds Serious and Dexter Guff Is Smarter Than You
