Award-winning singer-songwriter performs at River Run Centre Friday, October 27

GUELPH, ON October 12, 2017 – Canadian singer-songwriter Matt Zaddy will present songs that tell personal stories of his journey through life and music when he performs at River Run Centre on Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m. The Co-operators Hall performance is presented as part of the Borealis Music Series; celebrating the strength and diversity of Canadian musicians.

Zaddy has been on tour across Canada in support of his latest release, the Perfect Moments EP, an album met with rave reviews. Just in time for summer, he re-released the title track from the recording and hit the road to share his musical vision with the nation.

“It was a great experience to revisit the title track off my last release,” Zaddy says. “We went back in the studio and re-worked all of the guitar and vocals. It was a welcome feeling to breathe fresh life into a song that tells of my own inspiration for writing the record in the first place.”

Described as a songwriter you’ll feel like you’ve known forever, Zaddy’s honest and personal lyrics recall the best of times, worst of times and how people move forward in life. His River Run Centre debut will showcase a blend of folk, rock, rhythm and blues, and Canadiana.

“Easy-on-the-ears, hook-filled tunes,” CBC Radio said of Zaddy. “A rare talent.”

A Mississauga-based songwriter, Zaddy was honoured with the 2017 Mississauga Music Award for Best Acoustic Artist. River Run Centre is pleased to showcase him and his full 5 piece band (Matt Zaddy & The River North), featuring an all-star cast of musicians. Don’t miss your chance to experience this intimate performance featuring original works and Canadian favourites.

We would like to acknowledge funding support from the Ontario Arts Council, an agency of the Government of Ontario.

Tickets to see Matt Zaddy cost $29 for adults, $27 for seniors and students. $20 uGO tickets are available to university and college students with valid ID. $5 eyeGO tickets are available to high school students with valid ID.
