Presented by Guelph Chamber Choir:
One of John Rutter’s most moving works, his “Requiem”, was written after the death of his own father. In it, Rutter combines both the traditional Latin liturgy alongside English biblical verses to create a work that is steeped in tradition, yet always viewed through a modern lens. The first half of this concert will feature Katerina Gimon’s beneath/sound for choir and chamber ensemble, and Mozart’s Laudate Dominum for soprano and choir.
