    The acclaimed Visible Fictions theatre company has produced an imaginative and unexpected take on the legendary story of Robin Hood. Audiences are invited to join the merry band of brothers in Sherwood Forest as they seek to rid the land of evil and return hope to the poorly treated. Through narrative and drama Visible Fictions creates powerful experiences that speak to contemporary times.

    About the Play

    • It is based on the familiar tale and adventures of Robin Hood
    • The play was co-commissioned by Visible Fictions and the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was first presented at the Kennedy Center with the North American premiere during the 2013-2014 season
    • The production is an imaginative take on the legendary story and features the company’s signature style of introducing the unexpected to create powerful experiences for children.

    About the Theatre Company 

    • Visible Fictions has been creating theatrical productions for young people and adults for 22 years
    • The touring company is based in Scotland, but takes its stories all over the world
    • The company believes that the “arts are a powerful educator, offering fresh and dynamic ways to learn, solve problems and form opinions”
    • This belief has led the company to twist and turn familiar stories to inspire children to experience how old tales can speak to contemporary times.
