Borealis Music Series Presented by River Run Centre:
Guelph’s own Tannis Slimmon is a critically acclaimed Canadian musician who has been singing, songwriting, recording, and touring locally, nationally and internationally for over 30 years. She can be heard on over 80 albums, including recordings by Willie P. Bennett, David Francey and Rheostatics.
Tannis Slimmon will be joined by multi-instrumentalist/producer Lewis Melville for a musical performance. Their unique style is a compelling blend of melodic, rhythmic and harmonic guitars and voices. Each song balances the sadness, joy and humour of collective life stories and embraces influences in roots, world, contemporary and eclectic folk traditions.
“A breathtaking vocalist with a bright, angelic disposition, Slimmon is a favourite folk attraction whose harmonies are as warm as her smile.” Exclaim
