Guelph Chamber Choir: Rutter’s Requiem

Guelph Chamber Choir Rutter’s Requiem promotional image

Presented by Guelph Chamber Choir:

One of John Rutter’s most moving works, his “Requiem”, was written after the death of his own father. In it, Rutter combines both the traditional Latin liturgy alongside English biblical verses to create a work that is steeped in tradition, yet always viewed through a modern lens. The first half of this concert will feature the award-winning, American composer Jake Runestad’s setting of “Ave Verum”, a modern examination of Mozart’s well-loved motet of the same name.

Everyone must have a ticket, including children. Infants will not be admitted during this event.
