HOMETOWN LIVE: Presented by River Run Centre
Beginnings of a city
Tornadoes, whisky, weddings, railway fever, and the relentless work of carving a town from the forest reveal the humour, hardship, and ambition of a community being born. Through the words of settlers, newspapers, and local 19th-century poets, actor and storyteller Jay Wilson summons the voices, characters, and events that shaped Guelph’s first 70 years.
“Congratulations Jay. Thanks for all your work telling Guelph’s stories.” – Susan Ratcliffe, local historian
