Guelph youth will showcase their talents in the fourth installment of MusicWorks|StageWorks, a hands-on performing arts mentorship program of River Run Centre in partnership with the Guelph Youth Council of the City of Guelph and supported by TD Bank Group.

The program is open to all youth, ages 13 to 19, who are interested in gaining new skills and taking part in a public performance. It offers aspiring performers real life experience in concept development, production and stage presence and is inclusive of music, theatre, spoken word, dance, short film and comedy.

Under the guidance of River Run’s technical, programming and marketing staff, and with the support of Guelph Youth Council members, participants learn about the various aspects of building a successful show such as staging, flow, self-promotion, transitions and professionalism.

Rehearsals are scheduled in mid-April for two weeks, and the program will culminate in free public performances in the first week of May to celebrate National Youth Week.

Performance dates:
Tuesday, May 3 – 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 4 – 7 p.m.

*Admission is free. Seating is general and on a first come basis
