GUELPH, ON February 5, 2026 — This provocative theatre experience is as inspiring as it is entertaining. Join award-winning, renowned environmentalists and married couple Drs. David Suzuki and Tara Cullis as they discuss powerful insights on their relationship and a lifetime of activism. What You Won’t Do For Love: A Why Not Theatre Production takes River Run Centre’s Main Stage on Sunday, March 1 at 7 p.m.
In this theatrical performance, actors Michelle Mohammed and Sturla Alvsvåg navigate a poetic and playful dialogue with David Suzuki and Tara Cullis. Focused on honest reflections of love, their lively conversation explores our connection to each other and the Earth through captivating stories and personal wisdom. What does love have to do with it? A lot, according to Dr. Suzuki.
Throughout their enduring 50-year partnership, Drs. Suzuki and Cullis have gained a remarkable perspective on love. But theirs is a greater love story. Both lifelong environmental activists, the doctors share a joint passion that has further deepened their bond and inspired a closer connection to their personal communities and the world at large. Through this conversational performance, they consider love’s capacity to inspire action and propel us towards a more sustainable future and a healthier planet.
The show is directed by Ravi Jain, Founder and Co-Artistic Director of Why Not Theatre. Why Not focuses on reinventing how stories are told to inspire new ways of thinking about creativity and civic engagement.
