Juno Award winners and a Hall of Famer share one stage
GUELPH, ON October 22, 2026 — Country fans are in for a treat with this star-studded show. The Great Canadian Roadtrip brings together three celebrated Canadian country acts — Doc Walker, Jason McCoy, and Michelle Wright — for an exciting musical evening. The Roadtrip stops at River Run Centre’s Main Stage on Sunday, November 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket holders can expect a true union on stage. Doc Walker, Jason McCoy, and Michelle Wright perform together, joining musical forces by playing each other’s songs and sharing the stories behind them.
Doc Walker is the Manitoban duo of Chris Thorsteinson and Dave Wasyliw. From small town halls to Juno Award winners, these childhood friends have consistently grown their stage footprint since the early 1990s. As for being part of this Roadtrip, Wasyliw exclaims, “So you’re saying we get to go on a cross-Canadian roadtrip with two absolutely legendary artists that we are massive fans of?! Please refrain from pinching us until it’s over.”
One of those legendary artists is Jason McCoy, who matches that excitement. He says, “This tour will be a non-stop hit after hit each night. I love Canada, I love country music, and I love touring with my friends, but most of all, I love the fans who are going to make this an epic Canadian Roadtrip!” Creator and frontman of The Road Hammers, the best-selling band in Canadian Country Music history, McCoy is also a fellow Juno winner and CCMA Hall of Famer.
Rounding out the Roadtrip is Michelle Wright, also a Juno winner and a Canadian Country Music Hall of Famer with 25 Top Ten radio hits. She has performed for fans on every continent except Antarctica. Wright echoes the others, saying, “It’s going to be a wonderful night of music, and I can’t wait to share the stage with my friends and bring this show to fans across the country!”
This is the debut show in River Run’s packed Canadian Country Series, which presents some of Canada’s finest toe-tapping, gritty musicians. The evening is presented with support from Season Sponsor Richardson Wealth, whose continued investment strengthens our community, along with funding from the Government of Canada.
