At this time of year, we look forward with excitement to the coming season! The leaves have turned, the weather has cooled, and gatherings are moving from outdoors to indoors. The marquee lights come on, and the theatre begins to fill — a new season has started!

We recently had the thrill of welcoming Tom Morello to River Run Centre. An outstanding musician, Morello is also an activist, using his songs to amplify voices against injustice. Morello spoke passionately about the power of music and gathering. “The concert space is sacred space,” he said.

As a supporter of live performance, whether you would choose the word “sacred” or not, you know that power. You have experienced that connection — whether it’s the crowd belting their lungs out with their Canadian rock idol, their collective held breath following the symphony’s final movement, or that shared laugh-until-your-face-hurts with 700 other River Run patrons.

These moments matter — they bring us together, enrich our lives, and strengthen our resilience.

At River Run, we strive to deliver meaningful moments — for the audience and for artists. Our crew supports local artists honing their craft. Our stages welcome some of the best Canadian and internationally touring acts. We are proud to deliver some of the best live performance — and we couldn’t do it without you.

Annual giving is an important part of our funding, helping fill the gap not addressed by government grants and corporate sponsorships.
