Serena Ryder celebrates the holidays with marvelous music and comedic candor
GUELPH, ON November 18, 2025 — Seven-time JUNO Award-winning musician Serena Ryder invites fans on a musical journey into the heart of the holiday season! This festive concert is inspired by the folklore, stories, and symbols that shape the traditions of this time of year. Serena Ryder’s Merry Myths Tour comes to River Run Centre’s Main Stage on Friday, December 12 at 8 p.m.
This Canadian vocal powerhouse is a platinum-selling artist adored by fans, peers, and critics alike. Known for her raw and earnest songwriting, her impressive ability to cross genres, and her electric live shows, Ryder has been making and performing music since the late 1990s.
Serena Ryder won her first JUNO in 2008 for Best New Artist of the Year. She did not slow down from there, winning several more JUNOs over the years, from 2014’s Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year to 2022’s Contemporary Album of the Year for The Art of Falling Apart.
In this show, Ryder blends timeless holiday classics with her vast catalogue of original hits. The Merry Myths Tour explores the rich tapestry of global yuletide lore with a hefty side of Ryder’s amusing takes on this fantastical time of year.
With powerful vocals, joyful energy, and heartfelt storytelling, Ryder creates an unforgettable evening that celebrates connection, community, and the magic of the season. She is joined on stage by some of Canada’s most celebrated musicians: Christine Bougie on guitar, Brian Kobayakawa on bass, Miles Gibbons on drums, and Lydia Persaud on vocals and acoustic strings. Persaud will also open the evening with a soulful set of her own.
This show is part of the Sleeman-Spring Mill Music Series.
