Iconic comedian performs standup show at River Run Centre

GUELPH, ON October 18, 2019 – A force in show business for more than three decades, Howie Mandel continues winning laughs on television and the standup stage. The iconic comedian promises a hilarious performance at River Run Centre on Sunday, November 3, at 7 p.m. The Main Stage show is presented as part of the Comedy Series.

Well-known for his current work on the hit television programs America’s Got Talent and Deal or No Deal, Mandel also recently returned to his standup roots with the Showtime comedy special Howie Mandel Presents: Howie Mandel at the Howie Mandel Comedy Club, his first solo special in 20 years.

“Howie Mandel is a seasoned veteran and it shows,” the Montreal Gazette says of Mandel. “A comedy icon in his element.”

Mandel’s numerous other credits include starring in the current Nat Geo Wild Series Animals Doing Things, serving as creator and executive producer of the Emmy-nominated animated children’s series Bobby’s World and hosting his own syndicated talk show, The Howie Mandel Show. Mandel’s performance as Dr. Wayne Fiscus on the Emmy-winning NBC television drama St. Elsewhere from 1982 to 1988 helped make him a household name across North America.

Known for promoting positive views about mental health, Mandel in 2009 released his book Here’s the Deal: Don’t Touch Me, a frank, funny and no-holds-barred memoir revealing his ongoing struggle with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. The book was a New York Times bestseller and helped promote positive views about mental health.

Opening for Mandel is Graham Chittendan, who made a name for himself performing at Just for Laughs, as a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters and for his award winning writing for CBC Television’s Still Standing.

This performance is SOLD OUT. Visit for a complete listing of events.

Howie Mandel is presented by River Run Centre as part of the Comedy Series and sponsored by Magic 106.1 and 1460 CJOY. River Run Centre is funded in part by the Government of Canada and gratefully acknowledges 2019-2020 season sponsor, Richardson GMP.
