Rising Canadian star comes to Guelph
GUELPH, ON January 16, 2019 – The fans have spoken—Scott Helman plays a full house when he takes the stage at the River Run Centre on Friday, February 1, 2019 at 8 pm. With only a few tickets left, audiences know they can expect an outstanding performance from one of Canada’s favourite young stars. The Main Stage performance is the second concert this season in the Magic Music Now series sponsored by Magic 106.
Following his European tour with Vance Joy and a headlining club tour of the Northeast United States, the Warner Music Canada recording artist is heading out on a cross-Canada.
In 2014 he released his first single, Bungalow, which was certified platinum and earned Helman his first two Juno nominations. He toured the U.S. and Europe with Walk Off The Earth and performed to massive TV audiences at the 2015 MuchMusic Video Awards and 2016 Juno Awards. In 2017 he released his first full length album Hôtel de Ville, earning him two more Juno Award nominations, including the coveted Songwriter of the Year. His single for the album, PDA, quickly went platinum.
Helman is currently enjoying great radio and streaming success with his latest single, Hang Ups. The track has climbed in to the Top 20 at Pop radio in Canada, is a Top 30 song on Shazam and has already received over 3 million streams.
