Presented By Guelph Spoken Word and SpoCan:

The Canadian Festival of Spoken Word (CFSW) is a national showcase of spoken word talent that includes an array of poetry slams, panels, features, workshops, and other events designed to facilitate the growth and vibrancy of the Canadian spoken word and poetic communities. This year’s CFSW theme ‘Discovery’ speaks to ‘The Story Within Us.’ Poets from across the country will come to Guelph for the second year in a row to engage with a wide range of spoken word forms.

The CFSW 2019 Poetry Slam Finals will be an epic night of poetry and competition. Audience members are encouraged to participate in this interactive event. The four best slam teams in the country will compete in the last slam bout of the festival. Five randomly selected judges from the audience will judge poetry with numbers. After 4 rounds we will crown our new National Slam Team Champions!
