Dallas Smith embarks on MTV Unplugged-style tour
GUELPH, ON November 19, 2025 — Multi-award-winning Canadian country artist Dallas Smith is known for his alternative country rock sound, as heard on countless number one hits. Catch Dallas Smith & His Band, One Night Only (Unplugged) on River Run Centre’s Main Stage, Saturday, December 13 at 8 p.m.
For this tour, Smith is hitting up 51 cities in just a couple of months, in a cheeky wink to Donald Trump’s threats to make Canada the 51st state of the United States. Smith’s strong sense of Canadian pride aside, this tour is not about politics — it is about the music.
“There’s something special about taking it all back to the songs, the stories, and the raw connection that happens when it’s just you, your long-time band, and the audience. I can’t wait to bring this experience across Canada and for you to see what we have in store,” he says.
The show will feature a broad mix of fan favourites and new material, including new songs he is preparing specifically for this tour. He also plans to switch up his setlist from night to night, adding to the tour’s personal charm. As he explains, “Every show is going to be different. Every show is going to be unique.”
One of the most celebrated artists in Canadian music history, Smith has produced dozens of platinum- and gold-certified singles, and four out of his five albums reached certified gold sales. Each one of his albums received JUNO nominations for Country Album of the Year, a title he won in 2015 for his second album, Lifted.
This tour is somewhat of a passion project for Smith. As he explains, “We have such a beautiful country… I’m a very, very proud Canadian. So, to bring this show to as many possible small towns that I could is really important to me.”
